Wangechi Mutu11/13 – 3/14

A challenging, visually rich WordPress site for an artist. I really pushed the limits of HTML 5 here, using complicated JavaScript to animate visual elements. I had to invent a way to animate the blobs on the home page: there was really no precedent for video with 24-bit transparency, so I had to come up with my own method. I animated the “blobs” in After Effects, and then wrote JavaScript to display them as a animated series of PNG graphics, which do support 24-bit transparency.
